We had one of those weekends…the kind where your vehicle turns into your kitchen, laundry hamper, sports center, media room, dining area, storage bin, garbage dump limo. That kind of weekend.
We started with multiple soccer games, dance workshops and errands and then upped the ante by zipping over to the coast to check on the house we have on the market and to hit the beach. The interior of the van…well, let’s just say it’s seen better days.
But you know what? Isn’t there some enlightened quote about finding beauty in the everyday, common things, in the flotsam and jetsam of life? (Well, maybe not the ‘flotsam and jetsam’ part…I just happen to like the way those words sound….remember Ursala’s eels in Little Mermaid?) Anyhow, here is my photographic ode to finding beauty where you may, including in the sandy, dirty, ketchup-stained interior of your 15 passenger van.
