(post update~ apparently Flickr was having a bad case of the hiccups and these pictures weren’t posting correctly to the blog. I’ve gone back in and re-entered their share html, so hopefully you can view the pics now)
Last night marked one of my favorite yearly events in our little section of the neighborhood.
The annual street Trick or Treat party.
It’s a night where we all pitch in some food and drinks, gather in the front yards of our across the street neighbors and chow down and chat it up.
Thankfully, 8 of 8 decided to continue his homage to Buzz Lightyear…and JT’s son wanted to still be Woody…so 7 of 8 decided to join the Toy Story and don Jessie duds…
And I realize it doesn’t follow the Toy Story storyline…but I’d be okay if this Woody and this Jessie had a thing for each other in a few years…
These two pumpkins had a bit of intrigue to their costume getups…can you guess what they are?
Anyone?
Bueller?
Ahem….
Jolly Ranchers.
(pithy costume/candy reference idea goes to JT’s husband, AT).
I get a little misty each year, seeing the neighborhood babies getting bigger…
And I sure do love this little guy and his mama (my running partner/sister neighbor JT)
In a stroke of life matching costume genius, 2 of 8 decided to dress up as Mary Poppins…and I’ve got to say, it was perfect…
…although her drawn-in eyebrows were a little, ah, unsettling…
This little guy’s family all came as characters from the Puss N Boots movie…
So stinkin’ cute!
I’ve got to figure out where pictures of 4 of 8 in her bumblebee costume and 5 of 8 in his Mine Craft getup are. Was I so busy noshing on treats that I missed a photo op? Could be.
But all in all, this night makes me always look forward to fall. Hugs, kisses and bags of treats to all our great neighbors! We are so thankful for you!
