Three Things I’m Not Doing Anymore…
(disclaimer…trying to not do anymore)
1. Over-explaining myself.
I used to think if I could just find the right words, everyone would understand—and then agree.
Now I realize some decisions don’t need a PowerPoint presentation.
Sometimes clarity is simply: This is what I’ve decided.
2. Saying yes just because I can.
Capability is not calling.
Availability is not obligation.
And just because I can carry something doesn’t mean it belongs in my arms.
3. Waiting until I feel completely ready.
I’ve spent enough time thinking I needed more confidence, more clarity, more time, more proof.

Sometimes you just have to take the next step and let clarity catch up with you.

I’m not interested in becoming a more polished version of who everyone else expects me to be.
I’m much more interested in becoming fully myself.
And honestly?
That feels like a pretty good thing to get better at with age.

Finding the perfect candles, updating your desk accessories, taking one more course, reading one more book, telling yourself you’ll start when you feel ready…yeah, I’ve done all these things in the name of self-care. But if you’ll allow me a moment of tough love, the best care you can give yourself is to actually get busy on your actual dream, not just the busy self-care around it.

Saying it ‘cuz I need to hear it again (and again). And maybe you do too.
